USA Trade Balance

I am not an economist, but Econ 101 was one of my most favorite required courses in undergrad. That was fourteen (14!) years ago. More recently I have started to pick up an occasional copy of The Economist magazine. Despite these novice credentials, I am probably not qualified to make the post I am about to make. But maybe any average Joe, like me, can get the point here...

Click here* and just scan the first column, noting the very large (negative) number listed for the fine country I live in (USA). I love my country, but not what this number suggests.

Note also how no other country has a number (negative nor positive) anywhere near the US's. Ouch. Can this possibly be sustainable? Where does it all go?
